Gold Leaf

My goal is to make you a better therapist.

Practicing Barefoot Bodywork:

• allows you to work "smarter not harder".  Lets gravity or tensional force do most of the work for you.
• feels luxurious and therapeutic to the client all at the same time.
• is a great workout for your arms, legs, and core.
• doesn't compress your wrists like hand massage, thus relieving pain and inflammation in those joints.
• brings in more income as a highly productive and specialized modality.

Shara Cox, LMT

I feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to be an instructor for DeepFeet Bar Therapy and Sarga Bodywork.  I wholeheartedly believe that these are two of the best massage modalities on the planet!

Becoming a massage therapist is a bit of a "second career" for me.  In 2008, I quit my job as a flight attendant and enrolled in massage school on a whim.  Between dealing with irate people on a regular basis, breathing recycled air everyday, and never quite knowing exactly what city or time zone I was in had really begun to take a toll on me mentally and physically in just a few short years.  Massage school taught me, not only how to live properly in my own skin, but also how to relate properly with other human beings and serve them in a therapeutic capacity.

I worked at a local massage company here in Austin, for 4 years where I specialized in Deep Tissue work.  But because a car accident when I was 18 left me with a weakened right hand, pain began to manifest itself in my wrist, and I had to cut back my hours.  Like a lot of other therapists, I was also dealing with low back pain from bending over a massage table for 6 hours a day.

There were several Ashiatsu therapists where I worked, but I was afraid that I wasn't going to be able to do the same kind of work with my feet.  I finally conquered my fears and signed up for a DeepFeet workshop and was utterly amazed at how well-suited the feet are for massage and bodywork.  They fit so well and do things that sometimes the hands just can't do.

In 2018, I was introduced to Sarga Bodywork which has taken my practice to the next level. Sarga has brought a slower, more focused approach to my work and adds another dimension to what is possible in our field.

DeepFeet Bar Therapy and Sarga Bodywork are pioneers in the massage and bodywork industry, and words cannot do justice to how proud I feel to be a part of these two authentic companies paving the way for therapists to do the work they dream to do without the sacrifice to their own well-being.
